FANTASY BASEBALL INTRODUCTION: Biggest payout fantasy baseball keeper leagues are rotisserie style. This particular FSRU league is primarily aimed at experienced players of fantasy baseball. If you are a new hobbyist, while you are welcome to join this league, it is recommended you consider any of our other leagues before this one.   

ROTISSERIE FANTASY BASEBALL DRAFT: Biggest Payout fantasy baseball mixed keeper leagues have 14 teams. New league drafts are held in your leagues personal website using top of the industry draft software. You only click the player, click the position you are putting him at and he goes off the roster board and on your team.

In established keeper leagues, beginning in year two, you will protect 7 players and team owners will have an 20 round nonserpentine draft (i.e. 14-1, 14-1) in the  FSRU.com chat room. A few days prior to your draft date you will receive an email with your draft position and the chat room password.

Each player will have 75 seconds to make a draft pick and a draft robot will be in use.
The draft robot will automatically make a pick for an owner who does not submit a pick before the time limit expires. The draft robot picks the top player listed in the owners draft queue- or the rank list, if the owner has not put players in the queue. 


PlAYER CONTRACTS: This league uses 3 year player contracts.
In year 1, the player is in contract year  "1"
In year 2, the player is in contract year  "2"
In year 3, the player is in contract year  "3"
Following the players 3rd contract year, he will become a free agent available at the next supplemental draft. If a player is traded in the middle of his contract, the contractual year will follow him to the next team. In essence, trades between teams do not change a players contractual status- only a draft does.

Players chosen via free agency, begin contract in year 1.
Note: If a player was kept the previous year, and he is released mid season, his contractual status stays with him even if he is chosen via free agency.
i.e. If Albert Pujols is released by a lower standing team in his C contract year, he will still be available in the supplemental draft the following year even if he is picked up by another team.

Many of our competitors that advertise keeper leagues actually run what’s known as Dynasty Leagues. All teams start the year with the same roster they ended the previous year with. Dynasty is a fitting name since the same teams tend to win those leagues year after year. While more work for the site, Real Keeper Leagues provides a far more competitive, stable and enjoyable experience for our team owners.

KEEPER LEAGUE REDRAFT: In auction leagues, every 6th year a keeper league will completely redraft.  There will be no keepers in a redraft year as all players are available. 

KEEPER LEAGUE OFFSEASON: Once the Major League Baseball season ends, if your team is paid for the following season, you can trade with other teams paid for the next season throughout the off-season. So our team owners can trade all year long.

FANTASY BASEBALL TEAMS: Each of the 14 teams will each have 27 players and activate 22 per week:
1- Catcher
1- First Basemen
1- Corner Infield (1B or 3B)
1- Third Basemen
1- Second Basemen
1- Middle Infield (2B or SS)
1- Short Stop
5- Outfielders
1- Utility (Any Offensive Player)
9- Pitchers
5- Reserve (Offense or Pitching).

HOW TO WIN at BIGGEST PAYOUT ROTISSERIE BASEBALL:
There are five hitting and five pitching categories (5x5 Leagues).
The five hitting categories are:
Batting Average (BA)
Home Runs (HR)
Runs Batted In (RBI)
Stolen Bases (SB) 
Runs Scored (R)
The five pitching categories are:
Wins (W)
Saves (S)
Earned Run Average (ERA)
Ratio (Walks + Hits / Innings Pitched)
Strikeouts (S)
Pitchers will not accumulate hitting statistics. Points (1 to 14) are awarded in each of the 10 categories based on your standings compared to the other league teams.  Your total of all the individual catagories gives you a total team score and your team is then positioned in the standings compared to the other teams total scores.

FANTASY BASEBALL POSITION QUALIFICATION: A player must play at a position 10x the previous year or 5x the current year to qualify at a position. 

FANTASY BASEBALL TRADES: Trades must be emailed to admin@FSRU.com In the Subject Line owner must state league name and team name. Commissioner notification of a trade must occur no later than 10pm EST each thursday, or your transaction will be pushed to the following week (when possible commissioner will input trades after Thursday at 10pm EST). Trades will not be made retroactive. 

FANTASY BASEBALL FREE AGENTS: The weekly order of free agent pickups will be last place team to 1st place team. Free agent requests will be issued on Friday. Each team will be given unlimited free agent pickups per week. Note that you must choose multiple players to drop if you wish multiple players issued.

FANTASY BASEBALL ROSTERS: Each week you will be able to activate players from your reserve squad and reserve players that are active. Reserving an injured player or activating a new free agent you just picked up could make a big difference on your team. 

Please note that each team is obligated to play their best lineup and the "strategy" of playing for a lower draft position in keeper leagues is considered an illegal lineup.

FANTASY BASEBALL WEBSITE and STATISTICS: Simply put, this site has everything you could possibly want in a Fantasy Baseball Website. Your league standings are updated daily along with injury reports, what free agents are available in your league, updated rosters and transactions, and a trade evaluation software link; to see if you want to pull the trigger on that blockbuster. It provides the statistics year-to-date; or what the player has done while active for your team. This site even has Live Feed so you can see how your team, or any other team, players are doing right in the middle of the game. Each Monday, you'll receive an e-mailed update of the standings.

Note: There is a one-time keeper league team deposit of $50 which is only collected during prize distribution from the top three teams. All teams will be required to have the league deposit on file in 2012.

COMMISSIONER: The commissioner reserves the right to veto any trade deemed too lopsided or detrimental to the integrity of the league. No collusion of any type will be tolerated and management reserves the right to disqualify. League fees will not be returned consequently.
