Following the 2005 Baseball Season, FSRU.com named our first inductee into the FSRU Hall of Fame. Only one team owner will be named each year. That standout team owner will be recognized for his overall success in FSRU.com Fantasy Sports Leagues. That success could have been attained in a single year, or more likely, over multiple years.

Fantasy Sports accomplishments can be in one league (over a number of years), multiple leagues (better), or multiple sports (even better). Nominees accomplishments will be considered in leagues they finished in 1st or 2nd Place only. Other placements will not be factored into deciding the award winner. Nominees will not be credited for finishing 3rd, nor will a 10th place finish detract from their accomplishments.
While we know our team owners take great pride in getting their name on the League Winners page. This is our highest recognition. Those who are inducted become site icons. An owner can only be inducted once, never again. And that status can never be removed. For as long as this site exists. The FSRU.com Hall of Fame will have a profile on the inductee, and a picture of the winner is necessary for induction.
Note: We know that you all love the cartoon. But due to the exceptional cost of a cartoonist, the cartoon will now be updated every other year and will recognize both new members simultaneously. See the new cartoon featuring Trader Jack and our 2008 HOF winner in November, 2008.
We did not want to cheapen this award with a one time monetary payout. This is simply more permanent than that. Instead, as a reward for excellence, we humbly award the inductee an attractive Trophy symbolic of their accomplishment and a prize consistent with the finality of the award. The winner will receive on all teams, in all leagues, a $50 DISCOUNT FOR LIFE. If the inductee decides to stop playing fantasy sports for three years, or ten years, and they then come back, they can email us and get their discount. We guarantee their picture- in animation form- and profile will still be there.
We make no bones about it. The competition for this award is extremely tough and the league winners page outlines some of our best candidates. Obviously, the intangibles of fair play and professionalism will also be a factor.
Once an FSRU Hall of Famer has secured their hallowed status on the site, they will be awarded no additional considerations in any leagues. In fact, they may find themselves with the least attractive draft pick (hey, we all know how their game is). And their trades will be reviewed just like any other.
