For years, FSRU members have inquired and cajoled us to operate one year leagues. But we were satisfied focusing our attention exclusively on keeper leagues. Well, in 2012, we became the largest keeper league site on the internet. Somehow, we just looked up and realized we were the biggest fish in the fish bowl. Well, it is time to jump into the one year fantasy football tank and provide premium service to the many that prefer one year leagues to keeper leagues, or just like to mix up both.
Beginning with 2012 Fantasy Football:
Fantasy Sports R Us will now host ONE YEAR LEAGUES!
We are going to open it up with 3 new fantasy football one year leagues at two league fees, $100 and $175 per team. Our $175 leagues will pay out 75%. As great as our payouts are, please do not judge FSRU entirely on that single issue. FSRU is an 11 year old league hosting site that experienced wonderful growth, but still takes pride in providing a concierge service in all aspects of the game. From the league draft, to the league template, to expert commissioner services, to the immediate and high payouts; we take pride in delivering our team owners the highest possible professional service in the industry. To the many that currently play in our keeper leagues, we hope you will consider playing a one year league as well. We also welcome new members to join a league and be a part of the FSRU family.

As each sports season ends, the landscape of the hopefulls to the FSRU Hall of Fame changes. With 2012 fantasy basketball now in the books, we turn our attention on Chris Bennett. Chris followed up his fantasy baseball championship in LA Dodgers League and his 2nd place in Boston Red Sox, with a fantasy basketball championship in New York Knicks League and a 2nd place in San Antonio Spurs. Chris has now been listed as a contender for the Hall of Fame.
But in the end, all eyes remain on Ted Deckers. Ted is three years reigning Champion in the San Francisco Giants fantasy baseball league! If he wins the Giants for a 4th Straight year Ted will have earned a league dynasty tag and HE WILL BE NAMED AS THE 2012 FSRU HALL OF FAMER. In 2012, Ted has the ball. As of May 5th, he has shown himself ready to run with it. His team, named Upper Deck, has already jumped out to a an early season 20 point lead over the 2nd Place team, 104.5 pts to 84.5 pts. Hard not make him an early season favorite at this point.
Hall of Famers inductees are recognized with the sites highest honor and only one is named each year. We reward the Best-of-the-Best with a Hall of Fame prize of $50 off every keeper team, in every FSRU league you join- FOR LIFE. Oh yeah, and a Trophy too! Check Out...

In any of our fantasy sports leagues, FSRU.com team owners protect a certain number of players, their keepers, and a supplemental draft is held yearly for the remaining players in the player pool. All too often, sites advertise "keeper" leagues and then close them after a year or two because they lose so many team owners. That does not happen at FSRU. A lot of our competitors are great at taking league fees, but when it comes down to paying out at the end of season, well..., they are not so great...At FSRU, we take pride in paying out IMMEDIATELY.
As an example we offer: The fantasy football season ended after the Monday game on December 26th, on the 27th and 28th, every check was in the mail. Almost half went out THE NEXT DAY. On the 29th, the trophy order was placed for the Super Bowl Winners that chose that option over the cash. Trophies usually arrive in about 2 to 3 weeks.
At FSRU, we get payout checks out immediately. No excuses, no stories, no explanations, no trading emails. The bottom line is, if you win at FSRU, your money is on the way...Period.
We do not want anything to take away from your feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction and your overall experience. If your current site does not handle payouts quite like us, it's probably time to get in the game- with FSRU.

Our friend, Ben Pritchett at The Hardball Times was kind enough to ask us to join him and some other site reps in an expert mock draft. While FSRU rarely does mock drafts, in this case we play the NL FSIC Expert league with Ben and a number of the other participants of this draft, including Derek Carty of Baseball Prospectus, and Robert Burghart of TG Fantasy Baseball.
So you get the idea, we felt obligated, Ben is a great guy, blah blah blah. So we sent in a rep who drew the 7th draft position out of 12 teams. See the The THT Expert Mock Draft.
And just in case you were wondering, we were very cool about it. We never once mentioned that FSRU has won the National League in the FSIC 3 of the last 5 years. Nope, not once, never mentioned it, not even once.

Here is a question we get all the time...
Can Canadians join our leagues? Allow us to make the following statement: Obviously, the vast majority of our patrons comes from the Unites States.
We provide league services to Americans in the armed forces throughout the world, including Afghanistan and Japan. FSRU team owners play our games from thier homes as far as Australia. But truth be told, outside of the USA, the vast bulk of our clientele comes from one country, Canada.
We love the Canadians, we have a bunch of them playing FSRU leagues, and they love us. We welcome you to come play with your American brothers from across the border as well as the many other Canadians throughout our leagues.
